- In the partnership course between Michigan State University & AFCM, Dr. Katharine Rugger, Associate Dean for Students Admissions, is planning a project with the Office of the Director of Medical Education for establishing a Career Counselling Unit and promoting the Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) as a last filter for potential candidates.
Medical Microbiology and Immunology:
Seeking to obtain a cooperation protocol with the Department of Microbiology in Chemical Warfare to take advantage of the capabilities available to them to train master’s students and research.
Parasitology:
The burden of leishmaniasis has been found to be an attractive scope for research especially in Egypt. For so it has been chosen as a part of an ongoing project by the AFCM different specialties including; parasitology, microbiology, infectious diseases and dermatology, on comparison of treatment modalities for Leishmania. The parasitological part of the project is considering ND-YAG LASER, an effective approach for treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis so far. The study is still proceeding and the comparative results are promising.
Career Counseling:
As per AFCM Partnership with Michigan state university, AFCM will be establishing a career-counselling unit with the expertise of international experts to guide medical graduates towards the suitable specialties in the future. Our aim is to make our graduates fit for purpose.
