As part of the pioneering role played by the Armed Forces in enriching the medical field with the latest scientific and technological advancements, the Armed Forces Faculty of Medicine organized the second medical conference under the title “Rising Stars.” The conference was held over several days with the participation of a distinguished group of professors and experts across various medical specialties, as well as a number of military attachés from sisterly and friendly countries, and was attended by several Armed Forces commanders.
The opening session began with a speech by Major General Dr. Ayman Mohamed Shawky, Director of the Armed Forces Faculty of Medicine, during which he emphasized the importance of the conference as an opportunity for exchanging scientific and research expertise to enhance the capabilities and skills of physicians. He pointed out that modern medicine has become an ever-evolving science that depends on research, continuous learning, and integration among its various specialties to improve the healthcare provided to citizens.
Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, highlighted in his speech the continuous support provided by the Egyptian state to the healthcare system to keep pace with the rapid developments in the medical field. He expressed his appreciation to the Armed Forces for their ongoing commitment to organizing scientific events that contribute to knowledge exchange and the development of human resources, thereby enhancing performance and efficiency in the healthcare sector.
Counselor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women, also expressed her gratitude to the Armed Forces for their tremendous efforts in supporting Egyptian state institutions across various fields. She praised the decision to open admission for female students to join the Armed Forces Faculty of Medicine, which has provided equal opportunities for young women to serve our beloved nation.
The conference activities included numerous scientific sessions, lectures, and training workshops across various medical specialties, with the participation of military and civilian physicians, as well as foreign experts specialized in the field.
